Abstract: The article deals with the cyclic structure of Jurassic deposits of the North of Western Siberia. Abstract: The Caspian region is one of the richest oil and gas bearing mega-basins with big prospects of discovering new major fields of hydrocarbons. The Caspian sea extended along the average meridian trend crosses from the north to south a series of structural elements of latitudinal orientation, belonging to the southeast margin of the ancient East European platform (the Near-Caspian basin), Skifsko-Turan young, basically hercynian platform and Alpine-Himalayan orogenic belt. The geological structure of the region is complicated enough and demands geodynamics generalization on the whole.

Abstract: Prospects of oil and gas deposits in the top layer of Perm accumulations within the area of distribution of saliferous accumulations of Kungur tier in the bottom layer of Perm deposits are considered. Appraisal of prospects of oil and gas contents in the top layer of Perm-Mesozoic accumulations of the North Caspian region and also a map of prospects of oil and gas contens can be the basis for the development of of further exploration trends for oil and gas in these strata of the shelf zone of the Northern Caspian Sea.
