Abstract: N.I. Belokon solves the tasks of estimating the efficiency of gas turbine plants operation as the main energy drive for gas-pumping units. This is important today for the development of the gas transportation system. The article proposes an integral criterion for estimating the compression efficiency of compressor stations and methods for determining the optimal regimes for gas-pumping units and compression systems with the aim of reducing energy costs of natural gas mains.

Algorithm for Predicting Thermal Properties of Sedimentary Rocks

Abstract: An algorithm to calculate the parameters of sedimentary rocks thermal properties is presented. An example illustrating the calculations is given, calculated and empirical values are compared. The precision of the proposed method of predicting the pthermal properties parameters of sedimentary rocks depends on the completeness of source information about the composition of minerals and fluids saturating the rock pores.

Abstract: Interpretation of resistivity method data for oil and gas reservoir identification and evaluation is purely empirical. The application of available petrophysical models is restricted by the necessity to assign a great number of unknown parameters. Extending the Dahnov-Archy formula on the basis of the petrophysical model of the reservoir and the principle of adaptivity allows to substantially increase the accuracy and reliability of oil-and-gas saturation estimates, while decreasing the number of sources of errors

Automatic interpretation of structural and tecnonic deformations on the basis of 3D seismic data

Abstract: A new method of automatic interpretation of structural and tectonic deformations on the basis of 3D seismic data is described. The method is aimed at increasing the accuracy and decreasing the time of interpretation. The formulation of the problem and its solution in the form of analysis of 3D images allow to apply the proposed algorithm for 3D representation of different objects such as both fault surfaces and channel edges, salt domes etc. A mathematical description f the method is presented and illustrated by a case of automatic representation of deformations based on real seismic data. The results obtained showed the high accuracy of automatic interpretation and the possibility of multi-attributive analysis with respect for expert data on the prospect

Abstract: In the present paper various variants of the presentation of the Reynolds' number and the coefficient of hydraulic resistance for the porous media with isotropic and anisotropic reservoir properties are presented. The development of formulas and the analysis of variants are carried out on an example of the modeling porous media with periodic microstructure which are formed by the system of capillaries and the packing of spheres with constant diameter (ideal and fictitious porous media respectively). Ideal porous media are modeled by capillary channels with different cross sections (circle, triangle, ellipse and rectangle). It is shown that formulas for the coefficient of hydraulic resistance for the fluid flows in capillary models coincide with formulas which are used in the pipeline hydraulics at the correct determination of Reynolds' number. The derived formulas in the aggregate with taking into account microstructure make it possible to explain wide scattering of the numerical values of Reynolds' number at the experimental data handling.
