Abstract: The production of gasoline without anti-knock additives is practically impossible. Switching to Euro-5 gasoline will lead to increased consumption of oxygen containing additives. At the same time the production capacity and resource base for increasing the volume of production of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), as the most popular in our country oxygenate, are severely limited. This article shows the possibility of extending the resources of oxygenates at the expense of other promising additives. The basic ways of increasing the efficiency of oxygen-containing anti-knock additives are analyzed

Abstract: Stability of motor oil to oxidation when in contact with biofuel in diesel engine is studied. With the introduction of 5 % impurities in the form of biofuel in heavy-duty fuel engines significant changes in the properties of oxidized oils are not observed.
It is concluded that biodiesel fuel adversely affects thermal-oxidative stability of motoe oils for heavy duty engines; oil deteriorates such parameters as viscosity index; low-temperature degrades antiwear characteristics. To utilize this oil in diesel internal combustion engines, it is necessary to improve more active antioxidant additives, or increase their amount.

Abstract: The formulas defining limiting pressure gradient values for simple capillary 3D-models with various structure of pore space are derived. It is shown that the multiplier numerical value in the limiting pressure gradient’s formula is not universal and depends not only on the shape of the channels but also on the pore space geometry. Therefore, the multiplier numerical value should be determined experimentally for each type of reservoir

Abstract: Libya ranks 3rd in oil reserves and 4th in gas reserves on the African continent. Most of Libya's proven reserves of oil are concentrated in the oil and gas region of Sirte and the northern part of the Gulf of Gabes. The oil and gas region of Sirte accounts for 90% of the country's production. Prospects for oil and gas potential in Libya are related to the research in the Mediterranean Sea. Libyan offshore territory belongs to the Tunisian-Sicilian (Gulf of Gabes) and Eastern Mediterranean (Gulf of Sirte) oil and gas basins. Promising areas for the discovery of oil and gas fields are the Bay of Sirte, Gulf of Gabes and the depression of Syrtis Major. Analysis of available information on the oil and gas potential and prospects of the Libyan shelf’s interior is presented. The article describes the results of the analysis of new seismic data, reflecting the existence of a compressive force within the Libyan shelf. The latter can be explained by the collision of the African and Western European plates that began with the end of the Cretaceous period. The comprehensive research indicates favorable prospects for the discovery of hydrocarbon fields within the Libyan shelf

Abstract: Shown that at the great depths of the earth's crust, in the areas of high pressure and temperature, are kept all the conditions for generation of oil and gas. However, the generation of hydrocarbons in such environments is significantly different from the processes of oil and gas formation at small depths. Found that there is a complex system of mutual thermobaric factors and distribution of oil and gas potential at great depths: at the beginning of the generation and phase distribution of hydrocarbons in the section affected largely abnormally high pore pressure development and paleo temperatures that could differ materially from current depending on the age of deposits. Shown that different thicknesses catagenetic areas related to the kinetic rate of generation of oil and gas, which depends on the type of kerogen, the gradient of temperature, pressure, lithology and hydrogeological conditions of the enclosing rocks, sedimentation rate, and others

Abstract: A new method of updating zones of oil and gas generation is presented. The case of the Lena-Tunguska petroleum province is chosen to illustrate the importance of taking into account the influence of magmatic processes for predicting oil and gas potential. Both the positive and negative influence of the Siberian superplume magmatism on the formation and evolution of petroleum systems is shown

Abstract: The article presents ways to improve water inflow control technologies in production wells and repair and insulation works in injectors. These consist in cost reduction by eliminating the pre-lifting pump from the well. Such work on water shut control in producing wells is recommended to be carried out simultaneously with preparation for the current repair. An integrated technology including water shut off works, killing and acid stimulation of wells is offered. “IMR” is proposed as a plugging composition. The expediency of insulation works in injection wells to eliminate behind-casing flow using diverter technology is shown. It is recommended to temporarily isolate the productive layer by such compositions. The technology of temporary producing formation isolation with guar gel and other reagents is offered
