Abstract: Electrochemical (voltammetric) analysis at the interface of two insoluble electrolytes can significantly extend the possibilities of today’s analytical chemistry. Of special interest is the possibility of analyzing such ordinary objects as poli-alkil-guanidines, the prospect of which is attractive alternative to chlorination for easy cleaning. A significant advantage of the method in this case is not only the simplicity of equipment, and its assimilation, which is especially important for water quality control in water treatment. An additional advantage is the possibility to determine heavy metals in water using the same equipment, as well as its low cost compared with the complex chromatographic systems sometimes used to solve similar problems.

Abstract: The factors that have had the greatest influence on the development of world oil production in the period 1995-2009 are considered. It is noted that the period of 1995-2009 was quite difficult in the development of world oil production, caused by strengthening crisis in the oil extraction, growing globalization and environmental pressures, the need to take into consideration energy saving and increase of energy efficiency of resources. The main factors influencing the change in use of the most efficient manufacturing processes are: the growth of the depth of oil refining, reducing the sulfur content of core petroleum products, increasing the share of high-quality gasolines in the total amount of production. These data allow defining the role and place of the basic oil processing processes in the reported period, based on the need to overcome the problems identified.
