On efficient use of anti-knocking additives under toughening environmental requirements to motor gasoline

Irina R. OBLASHHIKOVA graduated from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in 1995. She is Candidate of Technical Sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Chemistry and Engineering of Lubricants and Chemmotology of Gubkin Russian State University (National Research University) of Oil and Gas. Abstract: The production of gasoline without anti-knock additives is practically impossible. Switching to Euro-5 gasoline will lead to increased consumption of oxygen containing additives. At the same time the production capacity and resource base for increasing the volume of production of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), as the most popular in our country oxygenate, are severely limited. This article shows the possibility of extending the resources of oxygenates at the expense of other promising additives. The basic ways of increasing the efficiency of oxygen-containing anti-knock additives are analyzed
