Water cut and salinity of the aqueous phase effect on the formation of deposits of asphalts, resins, and paraffins of oil from the fields in Udmutia

Abstract: The effect of the quantitaty and salinity of produced water on the intensity of the precipitation of the water-oil emulsions is studied. It was found that for Udmurtia oils characterized by a high content of high molecular weight resin-asphaltene compounds with the share of the aqueous phase growing up to 80 % the stability of oil-water emulsions increases and, thus the number of AFS increases as well. Reduced salinity of produced water increases the aggregate stability of the emulsion, which enhances the formation of deposits
