State of the art and prospects of seismic data acquisition of russian continental oil and gas complex.

Authors: Alexander V. BELOUSOV graduated from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in 2002. He is Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Exploration Geophysics of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. He specializes in planning of seismic surveys and quality control of materials. He is author of 15 scientific publications.E-mail: belousov.a@gubkin.ru

Abstract: The beginning of the XXI century is characterized by increasing complexity of the challenges facing the exploration stage of geological exploration operations, i.e. the reducing share of structural pools, thinning formations, increasing share of reservoirs with complex structure of pore space. Geophysical exploration methods are in the first place among the methods of prospecting and exploration. The article deals with the geography of exploration for oil and gas, reviews new methods and technologies of geophysical works focusing on the prospects of geophysical exploration, in particular, seismic surveys in various geological conditions.
