Abstract: Based on detailed correlation of well logs in shanxi oil field china and analysis paleosections show that sedimentation of Minghuazhen formation happened under alternate dip of adjacent tectonic blocks and their limiting faults are synsedimentary. Analysis of thickness maps also indicates the presence of block tectonics

Abstract: Examples of faults identified by detailed correlation of the wells logs in the Devonian clastic sediments of an oil field of the Samara region are considered. The algorithm for refining the fault model based on direct and indirect methods is shown. The proposed model is consistent with the field data, which gives grounds to review certain aspects of the development system.

Abstract: The paper establishes features of the geological structure on the basis of seismic surveys in complex with the results of detailed correlation of the excavated part of the barrier reef carbonate sediments and overlying terrigenous deposits. The traceability of rocks packs in the inter-well space of the barrier reef is determined. The overlying formations are shown to link up with the slopes of the carbonate rock. The presence of tectonic disturbances in the body of the reef is suggested.
