Abstract: The paper discusses the conditions of formation and development of reservoir properties (porosity and permeability) at great depths of the Earth’s crust. Using geomechanical modeling technology, secondary permeability of deep Paleozoic deposits of the southern part of the Ural foredeep was estimated. The carried out research allowed to reveal the areas of increased fracture values. These zones are the most favorable for hydrocarbon accumulations search in the southern part of the Ural foredeep

Abstract: The principles of oil and gas geological zoning are considered in the article. In the proposed scheme of zoning the delineated oil and gas bearing territories and deposits are closely interrelated structurally and genetically and together represent a unified integrated oil and gas geological megasystem. The characteristics of objects of oil and gas geological zoning are given. Based on the study of sedimentary basins, the genesis and stages of their development, which are associated with the evolution of hydrocarbon systems, as well as basin analysis, regional designs, and digital structural models, a scheme for oil and gas geological zoning of the Okhotsk region was developed

Abstract: Based on the results of the simulation with respect for the assessment of the changes in the compaction of rocks and their filtration-capacitance properties and density the zones of abnormal pore pressures are identified in the section of the Prisakhalin shelf. The results of the log-derived pore pressure estimation by the equivalent depth method are presented. The results of modeling are compared with the data obtained by various methods and direct borehole measurements. The influence of neotectonic processes on the distribution of pressures is estimated. The effect of unloading zones on the process of formation of abnormal pore pressures zones is estimated. The difference in the distribution of pore pressures was established within the Kirinsky license area, in the South Ayash structure and in the Piltun-Astokhskoye field

Abstract: The geochemical analysis of mud volcanoes products was carried out to assess the generation capacity of the South Caspian Basin. The types of kerogene and thermal maturity stage of organic matter have been determined for different stratigraphic intervals. The connection between generation capacity and rates of sedimentation and subsidence of the basin has been determined.

Abstract: Geochemical criteria for zoning Khadum and Baltpashine Suites of the Central and East Pre-Caucasian region are analyzed. It is concluded that most of Khadum and Baltpashine deposits of the region occur both at the foot and inside the petroleum bearing area. The Khadum deposits in the lowest parts of the Tersk-Caspian foredeep may possibly be part of the low zone of condensate and gasgeneration

Abstract: Shown that at the great depths of the earth's crust, in the areas of high pressure and temperature, are kept all the conditions for generation of oil and gas. However, the generation of hydrocarbons in such environments is significantly different from the processes of oil and gas formation at small depths. Found that there is a complex system of mutual thermobaric factors and distribution of oil and gas potential at great depths: at the beginning of the generation and phase distribution of hydrocarbons in the section affected largely abnormally high pore pressure development and paleo temperatures that could differ materially from current depending on the age of deposits. Shown that different thicknesses catagenetic areas related to the kinetic rate of generation of oil and gas, which depends on the type of kerogen, the gradient of temperature, pressure, lithology and hydrogeological conditions of the enclosing rocks, sedimentation rate, and others

Abstract: Basin modeling to estimate the oil and gas potential of the Azov and Black seas is described. The conclusions made are fundamental and allow to essentially increase the resources of hydrocarbons in the region under consideration. These also permit to identify the main areas for exploration and prospecting on theterritory of the Crimea Peninsular and adjacent Azov and Black sea areas. The analysis and modeling of the basin identified the possible petroleum charges which can fill traps with oil. Potential source rock intervals are expected in the transient formations (Paleozoic) and sedimentary cover (Chalk). The study allowed to determine the pattern of occurrence of hydrocarbon accumulations and propects of the oil and gas potential of the western part of the sea area

Abstract: The Caspian region is one of the richest oil and gas bearing mega-basins with big prospects of discovering new major fields of hydrocarbons. The Caspian sea extended along the average meridian trend crosses from the north to south a series of structural elements of latitudinal orientation, belonging to the southeast margin of the ancient East European platform (the Near-Caspian basin), Skifsko-Turan young, basically hercynian platform and Alpine-Himalayan orogenic belt. The geological structure of the region is complicated enough and demands geodynamics generalization on the whole.
