Efficiency of using gas turbine plants with exit gas heat regeneration in gas mains

Abstract: The paper presents the thermodynamical basis for using gas turbine plants with exit gas heat regeneration for pumping gas via gas pipelines. The efficiency of the plants with different degrees of heat regeneration is compared with that of simper plants. The evaluated use of the regenerating plants allowed to replace plate-type regenerators of in GT-750-6 and GTK-10 plants by tube-type regenerators. The payback period of the latter is estimated at 18-24 months of operation.
