Abstract: The reinstatement of the Syrian oil pipeline system is a mandatory initial step in the recovery of the Syrian oil industry. This article discusses the principles and challenges of the reinstatement of the Syrian oil pipeline based on techni- cal assessment of the current state of the pipeline through comparing the hyd-raulic gradient line with the current allowable maximum pressure — determi- ning the main quantitative indicator of the oil pipeline reinstatement project and the range of its allowable change — determining the best economic solution for the current state of the Syrian economy costs by gradually increasing the flow rate

Abstract: The article deals with the problem of parametric diagnostics of trunk pipelines, i.e. impact of branches coordinates and insert parameters on the parameters of the pumping mode. The reasons of the changes of the technological parameters of complicated trunk pipelines are studied. The calculations were performed using the author’s software „Trans Gubka”. The effect of the branches coordinates and inserts parameters on the pumping mode was evaluated and the ambiguity of the dependences is shown. This is displayed when evaluating the results of the work of the leak detecting systems

Abstract: The paper considers the problem of oil offtake from the main oil pipeline, i.e. the changes of the process conditions in the final section of the pipeline. The effects of the route profile, as well as of different types of branches on the process conditions during offtake of oil from the trunk oil pipeline are considered. The calculations are performed using the software package for the design of the section of the trunk pipeline with a branch with respect for the presence of tie-ins of different diameters and lengths

Abstract: The article shows variations in operating conditions along the length of the pipeline, i.e. changed hydraulic gradient in a center section of the pipeline. The change in the position of this section is found to depend on the ambient temperature. The numerical tool for calculating the parameters of a technological mode for the entire length of the pipeline.

Abstract: The article shows the possibility of designing the main oil pipeline i.e. determining the combination of numerical values of the key parameters, adjusting these to the desired commercial values (costs) of the project. The principle of solving the problem is the extended set and ranges of variations of parameters and arguments of the cost function.
