Abstract: Am approach to the choice of a rational variant of designing a gas main on a multi-criteria basis is suggested. Systemic factors, aspects of systematization and the process of applying an expert logical analysis for grounded decision-making for development and reconstruction of gas mains are described. A case study illustrating the approach is presented
