Abstract: The development of the first Messoyah field of gas hydrates is analyzed. Mathematical modeling allowed to determine that the volume of gas resulting from hydrates decomposition accounts for 30-50% of initial gas reserves in the hydrate state. Therefore further development of the Messoyah field is of great importance for major consumers: the town of Norilsk and GP Norilski Nikel. Patented technologies of gas extraction applicable to residual Messoyah gas hydrates are proposed
