Abstract: The model of strengthening a thin-wall elastic single piece homogeneous plate with an infinite stringer, made of two semi-infinite pieces and placed on the line of joint of the homogeneous parts of the plate, is studied. Contact stresses under the stringer are identified, their symptom-free behavior in the area of the point of the stringer toughness change is studied, numerical illustrations are given
