Main problems and possibilities of carbonate rocks facies using logging data

Abstract: Quantitative models of logging facies of carbonate rocks and methods of their application for facial analysis are considered. Logging genetic models are based on the estimates of lithology, porosity and oil saturation of carbonate deposits using logging data. The importance of study of secondary transformations of carbonate rocks is stressed. Examples of applying the offered method of facial interpretation of logging materials of complicated carbonate cross sections including reefs of the fields in Orenburg region of Kazakhstan and those in Byelorussia are presented

Abstract: Sedimentary-facial models of Paleozoic subsalt deposits of Orenburg Region built on the basis of chronostratigraphic analysis are considered. The analysis allowed to identify the rock units (Ordovician-Low-Devonian (pre-Emian), Emian-mid-Devonian, Fransko-Turnian, Vesian-Bashkirian, Moscow-upper-Carboniferous, low-Permian) which genetically interconnected by unity and directivity of sedimentation and separated by surfaces of regional discordance the formation of which in turn is caused by global falls of the sea level and (or) structural change of the area in question

Abstract: The results of geological prospecting for oil and gas in the South Caspian Basin are considered. The reasons of the failures in 1995-2005 are identified. Among these were strategic geological errors made by consortiums and project operators who did not take into account the laws of spatial distribution of regional, zonal and local oil and gas occurrence, the experience and the results of the previous geological prospecting. The geological concept of increasing the efficiency of prospect and exploration drilling, based on the quantitative dependence of the density of initial geological reserves in local structures on the set of their tectonic and structural, lithofacies, hydrogeodynamic, baric as well as geotemperature parameters is suggested. The obligatory association of oil and gas accumulation zones with drainage areas of subregional hydrodynamic systems interfacing large lineaments is shown

Abstract: Hydro-fracturing is now one of the most efficient methods of well simulation. It consists in pumping of the working fluid of hydro-fracturing into the reservoir under sufficiently high pressure to create an artificial fracture in the rock.

Abstract: The article considers the calculation of the main parameter of two-phase mixture ϕ flow in the gas-liquid jet pump with the uncompressible fluid being the working fluid and compressible gas being the ejected medium. The calculation uses one-dimensional equations of heterogeneous media flow mechanics and experimental data taken from literature. A differential equation for real gas content was obtained on the basis of the equations of two-phase flows and a form of function ϕ in the jet pump nozzle was found on the basis of experimental data [2, 3].

Abstract: Specific problems of designing and practical application of information and analytical system of evaluating and monitoring of automated dispatcher control system reliability for gas transportation. The solution of the problem of ensuring reliability and failure rate prediction is proposed. A model of evaluating the reliability of operation and quality of maintenance of gas transportation system is suggested.
